The challenge

BZ Renewables was running on a WordPress theme that was no longer supported. An unsupported theme is a slow-moving problem: no security patches, no compatibility updates, and a design that dates as the web moves on. They needed a modern website that would be stable, secure and fast — without losing the search presence the old site had built up.

Our approach

• Migrated off WordPress onto the Shopfront Studio stack — statically prerendered, so there is no theme to fall out of support, no plugin surface to patch, and nothing to slow the pages down.
• Protected search equity through the migration: mapped the old URLs, carried forward the ones with value, and set 301 redirects where structure changed so existing rankings and links resolve to the right new pages.
• Applied a clean SEO foundation plus AEO/GEO content work — proper schema, entity-first copy, and a structure built to be read and cited by AI search tools as well as Google.
• Delivered a modern prerendered site with a mapped URL migration, 301 redirects, per-page meta and structured data, a regenerated sitemap, and AEO/GEO content around the core services. The maintenance and security overhead of an unsupported theme is gone — there is no theme or plugin layer to keep patched.

The outcome

The migration moved BZ Renewables onto a modern, stable platform with search equity preserved through mapped redirects. Post-migration ranking-retention data is accumulating; the before-and-after comparison and traffic metrics will be added here as that data matures.
